Pay Scales & Working Conditions in the Global Dance Industry – Commissioned by Dance Ireland (Phases 1–3)

Commissioned by Dance Ireland, this multi-phase national research examined pay scales and working conditions in the global dance industry. The project involved data collection, collation, analysis, industry consultation and formal reporting across Phases 1–3, establishing a robust evidence base to inform advocacy, funding reform, workforce sustainability and policy development for dance professionals in Ireland and internationally.

The research combined quantitative and qualitative methods, including survey design, stakeholder consultation and comparative analysis, to examine employment conditions, pay structures and career sustainability across the global dance workforce. Findings were synthesised into formal reports supporting organisational strategy, sector dialogue and policy engagement led by Dance Ireland.
